Welcome and ten things I've learned from teaching.

I decided for my first blog post to do a linky on ten things I've learned from teaching.

1.) If an administrator is in the room anything can and will be wrong. You gotta be quick on your feet.
2.)  I learn way more about parents than I ever want to know and sometimes it's hard to look at them without giggling thinking about what you were told.
3.) The amount of tissues kindergartners go thru is crazy.
4.) Kids really do say the darnedest things.
5.) Five year olds still put things in ears, noses, and mouths.
6.) You get way too excited for school supplies.
7.) you learn to eat fast, and potty fast.

8.) Copiers never work when you most need them.
9.) seeing their light bulbs go off and the kids getting so excited that they "get it" makes it worth it.
10.) No matter how crazy kids drive you, it's so worth it.

  3. You do hear some very interesting home stories sometimes! :) I had a student put popcorn up his nose once too--what would make you want to try that, I just don't understand. Welcome to the blogging world! :)
